The Foundation
The Josefsson Foundation is, at its core, a family-led foundation, which purpose is to mainly promote areas such as culture and discussion on societal issues. Our vision is to contribute to a society where everyone can accomplish anything when they have opportunity and encouragement. Culture can be an important agent in accomplishing this. We understand that real change takes time, which is why we have a strong long-term commitment to this area. The foundation is prepared to cooperate with other bodies that have a similar interest in supporting these areas.
Organizations that the foundation supports include Kvartal, Stockholm School of Economics Art Initiative, Centrum för rättvisa and Prinsessan Estelles Kulturstiftelse.
Kvartal
Kvartal is a politically independent online magazine that publishes podcasts and texts with a social journalistic focus. Kvartals promise to the audience is to offer Sweden's leading platform for curious public debate and qualified analysis.
Stockholm School of Economics Art Initiative
SSE Art Initiative produces art exhibitions and symposiums directed towards researchers, students and the public. Why? To explore and develop knowledge at the intersection between economy and the arts and humanities. SSE Art Initiative works to support SSE's educational mission FREE: Fact-based and scientific, Reflective, Empathetic and Entrepreneurial.
Centrum för rättvisa
The Center for Justice stands up for the individual by pursuing legal proceedings and participating in the debate on rights issues. It is a non-profit and independent actor with the task of protecting the freedoms and rights of individuals which is at the heart of a democratic state governed by the rule of law and a decent society.
Prinsessan Estelles Kulturstiftelse
The foundations purpose is to promote cultural activities in Sweden based on a high conviction that culture is a necessity for an open and modern society. The foundation makes contemporary art accessible as it has witnessed positive effects. The interaction with art opens our senses, makes us reflect, shapes new thoughts, gives us new knowledge and teaches us to embrace the unforeseen. Enriching our common environment with contemporary art is thus not just about creating timeless monuments, but about arousing conversation and offering a long-term increased quality of life for everyone.
